Onic PH get early M1 exit

KUALA LUMPUR -- Onic Esports Philippines bow out of contention after suffering two sweeps in Group D of the 2019 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) World Championship 2019 in Axiata Arena on Thursday.

Onic suffered a 2-0 sweep against Indonesian stable EVOS Legends in the first game of the Group D matches.

The Indonesians maul Onic with a 16-7 outing, with Wise leading the Filipino side with a 3/3/2 KDA despite the loss.

Onic PH once again fall at the hands of EVOS in Game 2 after a dismal 20-9 performance. OhMyV33nus was limited to just three assists as his favorable heroes were banned by the Indonesians.

The Filipinos suffered a close 13-9 beating at the hands of Japanese qualifiers 10 Seconds Gaming Plus, with Iya4knu's Granger having a 2/1/6 MVP performance despite the loss.

Japan's delegates officially eliminated Onic, with 10SG Plus having 19 kills to Onic PH's 7. 10SG's Tomebo has his X.Borg for a 4/0/11 show-up, while Greed's Lolita failed to stop the bleeding for Onic with just three assists to his seven deaths.

Onic PH and Russian stable Deus Vult take one game apiece in their respective final matches for the third place in Group D, leading to a decisive Game 3.

The Pinoys finally grabbed a series win at their final game with a 16-7 finishing of Deus Vult.

Iy4knu's Karrie carry the squad with nine kills and three assists and 14.5 thousand gold, while OhMyV33nus' favorable hero Kaja registered a kill while having 10 assists.

Onic settled at third with two points and a dismal 1-2 performance, bowing out of the tournament, leaving Sunsparks as the sole Filipino team to advance to the playoffs..

EVOS Legends and 10 Seconds Gaming Plus meanwhile entered the Main Event, which will begin tomorrow, November 15.
