UST beats feisty FEU, advances to the next match-up against UP

QUEZON CITY - The UST Growling Tigers advances to the next match-up of the UAAP Stepladder semifinals after beating the feisty FEU Tamaraws with a 10-point deficit, 81-71, Wednesday evening at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

With the Growling Tigers win, they advances now on the next match-up of the UAAP Stepladder semifinals and will face the twice-to-beat UP Fighting Maroons on Sunday, November 10, 4 p.m., at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

UAAP S82 Season's MVP Soulemane Chabi Yo led the Growling Tigers win with 25 points. Brent Paraiso and Renzo Subido chipped in 18 and 14 points respectively.

FEU's Captain Ken Tuffin chipped in 20 points for the FEU Tamaraws. Sophomore Guard L-Jay Gonzales and Graduating Senior Hubert Cani also chipped in 11 and 10 points but still failed to beat the Growling Tigers.

FEU Tamaraws Seniors Hubert Cani, Wendell Comboy, Kimlee Bayquin and Barkley Eboña played their last game for the Tamaraws at this game versus UST.

FEU 71 -- Tuffin 20, Gonzales 11, Cani 10, Ebona 9, Comboy 8, Torres 8, Tchuente 5, Alforque 0, Bayquin 0, Bienes 0, Stockton 0.
