Gilas Men open SEA Games campaign with rout of Singapore

PASAY--In a tournament they are expected to dominate, Gilas Pilipinas Men began their quest in the Southeast Asian Games with a 110-58 beating of Singapore at the Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday night.

Gilas Men finished the first quarter on a 20-4 run to pull away for good from Singapore.

Troy Rosario led five Gilas Men players in double figures with 15 points alongside eight rebounds and three assists.

Vic Manuel and Stanley Pringle each added 14 points with latter doing so on a perfect 5-for-5 clip from the field.

Leon Kwek put up 10 markers and five boards for Singapore in a game where Wong Wei Long was held to just six points and one assist.
