PH contingents rule obstacle course

MUNTINLUPA - The Philippines swept all gold medals on the second day of the obstacle course held at Filinvest City in Alabang on Wednesday.

The team of Kyle Antolin, Kaizen dela Serna, Monolito Divina, and Deanne Nicole Moncada made its way to a gold medal with a total time of three minutes and 48 seconds in the mixed team assist 400-meter by 12 event.

Malaysia came up in second with 4:29.28 in their clock, while Indonesia took the bronze after the Laos team did not finish the course.

Diana Buhler, Jeffrey Reginio, Klymille Rodriguez and Nathaniel Sanchez claimed the gold in the four-man mixed team relay as they clocked less than two minutes.

Team Malaysia ended up with the silver, finishing the course in two minutes and a second.

Filipinos also made a 1-2 finish in the women's individual 100-meter by 10 event as Rochelle Suarez took the gold in just 46 seconds. Compatriot Milky Mae Tejares finished the course in 47 seconds.

Kevin Jeffrey Pascua added the final gold medal of the day for the Philippines, finishing the men's 100-meter by 10 event in just 29.92 seconds.

Mohd Redha Rozlan of Malaysia settled up with the silver medal after clocking 34 seconds.

Filipino Mark Julius Rodelas beat Malaysian Yoong Wei Theng in the bronze medal race with the time of 32 seconds.
