LOS BANOS--In a rare moment in any multi-sport meet, two athletes shared the gold medal in the rhythmic gymnastics ribbon event of the Southeast Asian Games at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila.

Malaysia dominated the said competition in fashion as Koi Sie Yan and Izzah Amzan took home a gold medal each.

Following the tabulation of scores, Koi and Amzan ended up tied for number one with 15.2 points each.

Koi had a difficulty score of 8.1 but had the best execution score among all the eight participants with 7.1.

Amzan, on the other hand, performed a relatively more difficult routine that netted her 8.3 points, the most among everyone, but she only got 6.9 points in execution, the second best, leading to the tie with Koi and eventually the double gold.

Nat Kulsanawong took home the bronze for Thailand with a score of 14.05 points.
