MANILA—Khalif Wyatt drained what would be the game-winning basket as Alab Pilipinas withstood a late run from Formosa and won, 100-99, in a pre-Christmas ABL action at the Changhua County Stadium on Sunday.

Wyatt drained the go-ahead triple with 27 seconds left as Alab survived a three-point barrage from Anthony Tucker that nearly gave the Dreamers the win.

With Alab up, 95-87, with 2:41 left, Tucker went on a personal 12-2 run behind four straight treys to give the Dreamers a 99-97 lead with 1:21 remaining.

Yang Chin-Min, however, could not close out the game after Nick King missed on a floater, and Wyatt buried the long tom that put Alab ahead.

Tucker tried to save the day for the Dreamers, but he misfired on two straight three-point attempts before time expired.

Sam Deguara made 20 points and nine rebounds for Alab, who have now won four straight games after their tough season opening loss to Mono Vampire.

King added 19 points, three rebounds, five assists, and two steals, while Jason Brickman chipped in  a double-double of 12 points and 12 assists with two rebounds and one steal.

Jordan Tolbert put up 25 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and one steal for the Dreamers, who fell to 2-4. Tucker came up with a triple-double of 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists with one steal.
