MANILA—New year, new decade, new period of PBA trades.

A surprise swap was announced by the league on Monday with Alaska and TNT the two teams involved in the deal.

The Aces took Mike DiGregorio from the KaTropa in exchange for Simon Enciso in the trade which involves sweet-shooting guards. Alaska also acquired TNT's 2023 second round pick in the process.

The trade ushers in a new chapter to the Jeffrey Cariaso Era as he now has a new spitfire guard who can light it up from long range in DiGregorio. On the other hand, the KaTropa added a combo guard who can back up Jayson Castro in Enciso.
