Japeth Aguilar named PBA Governors' Cup Finals MVP

PASAY--The PBA Governors' Cup Finals have indeed been Japeth Aguilar's breakout stint.

The high flying Ginebra power forward was named the Honda-PBA Press Corps Finals MVP of the season-ending conference.

Aguilar posted averages of 17.4 points on 56 percent field goal shooting, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.4 blocks a game throughout the five games of the championship series.

In Ginebra's series clinching 105-93 Game 5 win, Aguilar virtually sealed his Finals MVP award, leading the team with 25 points, eight rebounds, one assist, and four blocks.

This is Aguilar's first Finals MVP award in his career.
