MANILA—The PBA Commissioner's Office on Thursday gave the green light to the straight-up one-for-one swap involving Blackwater and Phoenix.
The Elite sent Brian Heruela to the Fuel Masters in exchange of Ron Dennison in the said trade.
After a brief return to Blackwater, the team that drafted him in the third round of the 2014 Draft, during the Governors' Cup, Heruela was shipped to Phoenix, which shored up its guard rotation.
Dennison, on the other hand, will be reuniting with Nash Racela, his college coach at FEU, and Paul Desiderio, his teammate in high school and in the D-League.
Interestingly enough, Racela now has five former Tamaraws in his Elite lineup, Dennison, Mac Belo, Carl Cruz, Mike Tolomia, and Richard Escoto.
