MANILA—The PBA Commissioner's Office made the Sol Mercado trade to Phoenix official after it approved the swap on Monday.

Initially a straight up one on one trade between Mercado and LA Revilla, the deal got the green light after the Fuel Masters added Rey Guevarra to the package that will be sent to the NorthPort Batang Pier.

The 35-year-old Mercado, the fifth pick of the 2008 draft, will be playing for his seventh PBA team following his third term with NorthPort.

Interestingly enough, Mercado played for Phoenix's predecessor, Barako Bull, in 2015, before he was traded to Ginebra, where he would win three titles.

On the other hand, Revilla and Guevarra found their way back to the Batang Pier after being there for some time in 2013.

Revilla was drafted by NorthPort in the 2013 draft, while Guevarra was absorbed by the team following the sale of the Powerade franchise.
