PASAY CITY - The San Juan Knights moved on from losing to Zamboanga last week as they toppled Caloocan, 111-88, Tuesday night at the Cuneta Astrodome.

John Wilson chipped in 24 points to go along with his 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals while Mike Ayonayon converted 17 points and 9 rebounds.

Renzo Subido's hot hands from the three-point line earned him 16 points to help the Knights retain their position atop the team standings.

"Galing kami sa talo kaya kailangan namin mag regroup, kailangan namin manalo papunta sa playoffs para mabalilk yung kumpyansa coming from a loss," said Coach Randy Alcantara

From being up by 8 points in the first half, San Juan made a 9-0 run to eventually lead against Caloocan by as much as 17 points, 90-73.

San Juan's lead doubled during the 1:35 mark of the 4th period as Laurenz Victoria unleashed a triple, tallying a 109-82 scoreline.

Damien Lasco led Caloocan with 21 points.

Caloocan's fate to make it in the playoffs will now have to depend on the game between the Pasay Voyagers and Mindoro Tamaraws later Tuesday - as a defeat by Pasay plus a win by Caloocan against Mindoro on Wednesday would mean a playoff berth.
