QUEZON CITY--June Mar Fajardo is still reeling from a leg injury that would sideline him for this year's PBA Philippine Cup.

But with a sixth consecutive MVP award awaiting him on Sunday night, he arrived at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in style.

Riding a scooter to keep his injury from getting aggravated, Fajardo received the league's top individual prize that highlighted the Leo Awards, one of the events that took place during the opening of the brand new season.

Fajardo scored a total of 3,140 points from the stats, the media covering the PBA beat, the players, and the league itself, bettering the scores of fellow Best Player of the Conference winners Jayson Castro and Chris Standhardinger and rookie standout CJ Perez, who would go on to win Rookie of the Year honors. All four players made the Mythical First Team with Sean Anthony completing the cast.

The Mythical Second Team, on the other hand, composed of RR Pogoy, Stanley Pringle, Troy Rosario, Ian Sangalang, and Japeth Aguilar.

Fajardo, Perez, Anthony, and Aguilar made the All-Defensive Team with Chris Ross completing the five.

Despite not making any of the mythical selections, Mo Tautuaa was named the Most Improved Player, while Gabe Norwood won the Sportsmanship Award.
