SBP names PH lineup to FIBA Esports Open

MANILA--The SBP confirmed its participation in the inaugural FIBA Esports Open by revealing its seven-man lineup to the breakthrough event happening next weekend.

Representing the Philippines in the 17-nation tournament as announced by the SBP on Saturday are Aljon Cruzin, Rial Polog, Custer Galas, Rocky Brana, Philippe Alcaraz, Clark Banzon, and Al Timajo.

Cruzin, Polog, and Galas are shoo-ins in the starting lineup as they play the point guard, shooting guard, and the small forward positions respectively.

Brana, Alcaraz, Banzon, and Timajo, on the other hand, are expected to take turns playing the big men spots.

The teams will vie for the right to be called the best NBA 2K national team online from June 19-21. Games will be streamed live in FIBA's social media platforms as well as the SBP's Facebook page.
