MANILA--Coach Aldin Ayo has chosen to remain silent regarding reports of a training bubble he put up for the UST Growling Tigers in his hometown of Sorsogon City.

"I will not comment for now as UST is already investigating the matter as well as the IATF," Ayo said in a statement on Sunday night.

However, he assured, "I am fully cooperating with the ongoing investigations and praying that in due time, this will be properly addressed."

The revelation of the said bubble came just as the Growling Tigers let go of CJ Cansino.

Amateur teams like UST's varsity teams are not yet allowed to train amid the COVID-19 pandemic, making this a possible violation of quarantine protocols.

Meanwhile, Ayo confirmed that things somehow did not go well between him and his former team captain recently.

"The circumstances of life today have brought out the marked differences between my orientation in life and the fundamental option of our player CJ Cansino. We have found that it would be best that we part ways and allow maximum growth for each other," Ayo further stated.

A fallout that seemed to have happened inside the bubble led to Cansino's departure and eventual transfer to the University of the Philippines.

Despite the situation, he still thanked Cansino for the two seasons he played for UST in the UAAP seniors basketball.

"We express our gratitude for the years and effort he poured so generously for UST," Ayo further said. "We wish him the best of providence in his new endeavor with a different team."
