MANILA -- Despite being the newcomers, Nexplay Solid solidifies their label as serious contenders after dismantling Blu Fire, two games to none in season six of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League - Philippines (MPL-PH).
Newest addition Fuzaken decided to sit down for Blu Fire as the sixth man to start MPL-PH, starting newcomer Limz for the former ULVL side.
It was a more disciplined game of sorts for both Blue Fire and Nexplay Solid woith both having a 1-3-1 formation for the first four minutes.
It was until H2WO's Yi Sun-shin grabbed the turtle despite Yu Zhong slaying Gatotkaca in the process.
It was from there that H2WO getting added another turtle and helping the newcomer side to a 8-2 scenario for Nexplay Solid.
NXP slowed at 12-5 with Blu Fire looking to defend their base and limit turret damage, but restarted their attack with Mb's Gatotkaca and Chester's Luo Yi setting up plays.
H2WO, who tallied a 7/0/9 KDA, initiated the final blows against Blu Fire, capping with a roundabout at the enemy base before toppling it down to get Game 1.
Nexplay Solid drafted a more attack-based lineup woth Yu Zhong, Ling, and Chou while Blu Fire drafted a more interesting team which showed the MPL-PH debut of Popol and Kupa and a surprise pick in Balmond.
Both teams again settled for a 1-3-1 formation but it was Mb who led Nexplay in the early game as his Yu Zhong get seven kills in the first seven minutes marred with three technical pauses.
H2WO's Ling stepped up for the newcomer squad with Chester's Kagura as his support, with mosy of his kills coming from the mid to late game.
From there, it was all Nexplay Solid with timed Yu Zhong attacks and Kagura and Ling teaming for more punishments to a rather weird combination from Blu Fire, despite last efforts from S3cret's Balmond en route to a two-game sweep, and H2WO getting another MVP nod with a 10/1/8 performance.
Nexplay will have the second game of a back-to-back tomorrow against Blacklist International while Blu Fire will look for answers to a resurging ONIC PH team.
