 by Drew Malihan

MANILA -- One losing skid snapped, another one continues.

BSB chalks their first in the win column after dealing a skidding BNK Blu Fire their seventh loss of the season in Week 4 of MPL-PH Season 6 on Sunday.

Drixx and company wasted no time to catch on their group standings, which now stands at one win and six losses.

BSB began the game on a good note despite Blu Fire having a more favorable draft as they farm more and obtain more objectives.

Blu Fire showed flashes of resurgence but their core of Chuuu's Ling and Crypzu's Pharsa cannot capitalize on the damage given by their support heroes.

From the seventh minute onwards, it was the BSB show as the quintet get their buffs, grabbed turtles and lords, and pushed Blu Fire to defend their base.

BSB secured the first game 21-10, with MVP Drixx registering nine kills and nine assissts with his Yi Sun-shinand being the second MPL-PH player to tally 100 kills this season behind Bren Esports' Karltzy who has 104.

The five-man BSB side went for more tactics with Valir, Thamuz, Kagura, Yi Sun-shin, and Atlas, while Blu Fire opted for Yu Zhong Pharsa, Claude, Akai, and Chou.

Blu Fire despite being inferior in kills, started better than their game 1 output, scoring kills to Trebor and Kap Wan but BSB answered back stronger.

BSB dominated the mid to end game as they grabbed more objectives later, preventing Chuuu's Claude to take over the end game and securing more buffs courtesy of Drixx.

Drixx grabbed MVP honors with four kills and six assists as his team got all three points, 15 kills to seven.

BSB will try to continue their winning form on Saturday against a resurging Cignal Ultra while Blu Fire will try to get their first victory over a skidding Nexplay Solid.
