Cignal Ultra sweeps Blu Fire for first win

by Drew Malihan

Cignal Ultra snapped their three-game losing streak as they bring the brooms against a hapless Blu Fire squad in Week 3 of MPL-PH Season 6.

Hadess and company took less than 30 minutes to add more misery to their opponents, who suffered their fifth loss in all of their matches, four of them in sweeps.

Cignal Ultra dominated the early to mid game, securing every buff available and guarding creeps preventing Blu Fire to get a single objective.

Despite a low-scoring first round, Cignal Ultra has outplayed Blu Fire with more gold and exeprienced, with most of the Cignal side reaching Level 12 faster.

With their backs on their bases, Blu Fire fought back, being successful in the first two Cignal Ultra attempts to finish the game.

But with the second sanctuary lord secured, Cignal ultimately finished the first game, 9-4, in under 16 minutes with Hadess' Hayabusa getting the MVP nod with five kills and two assists.

Blu Fire started well in the second game with Baxia and Lancelot in their helm, but Cignal with the double tank combo of Uranus and Hilda.

In yet another low-scoring output, Cignal Ultra got more objectives and pushed patiently to Blu Fire's base similar to their first game strategy while preventing any damage to their own turrets.

With the gold in Cignal Ultra's favor in the ninth minute, it only take the former MPL-PH champions 30 seconds to slay four of five Blu Fire members and get the win 13 kills to seven.

Hadess grabbed the MVP nod, involving in 11 team kills with a 6/1/5 KDA.

Cignal Ultra will try to make more statements as they will go against fellow former champion in Bren Esports on Friday while Chuuu and company will play fire against fire on Sunday against reigning champs Aura PH.
