MANILA—Filipino-Australian fighter Reece McLaren is set to make a return to the One Championship battleground on Oct. 9 at One: Reign of Dynasties.

McLaren, currently ranked number five in the flyweight division, will battle Finland's Aleksi Toivonen in the co-main event of the said card.

McLaren will fight for the first time since beating Gurdarshan Mangat at One: Mark of Greatness on Dec. 6, 2019.

On the other hand, Toivonen, despite coming into the said match with an unbeaten 7-0 record with two no contests, has the longer layoff, last appearing on July 12, 2019 at One: Masters of Destiny, defeating Akihiro Fujisawa.

Both McLaren and Toivonen won their last bouts via rear naked choke submissions, so it is expected that their upcoming showdown will be decided on the ground.

The main event will pit Sam-A Gaiyanghadao and Josh Tonna for the One muay thai strawweight championship.

One did not disclose the location of the Reign of Dynasties event.
