MANILA--The PBA bubble is officially on!

The Inter-Agency Task Force provisionally approved the league's proposal to hold the remainder of its season in an essential semi-bubble in Angeles.

"We're happy and we're ready to go," PBA board chairman Ricky Vargas happily announced on Thursday.

Also approved was the request of the league to resume scrimmages, the last step toward a full resumption of the season postponed for six months already.

However, the games will restart a bit later as it is now set on Oct. 11.

The teams and PBA officials will depart for the said city on Sept. 28-29.

All the players have already undergone swab testing for COVID-19, and only those who are tested negative will be cleared.

Another swab testing will take place just as they arrive in Angeles, and the results will be out once they check in at the Quest Hotel there.

Those who tested negative in the second round of swab tests will be cleared to do 5-on-5 scrimmages at the Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center, where the games will be held.
