NXP avenges first week loss vs. Blacklist Int'l with 2-1 win

MANILA - Nexplay Solid avenge their first encounter against Blacklist International as they take a 2-1 series win in Week 5 of MPL-PH Season 6.

It was payback time for NXP as they were swept last August 22 by the same Blacklist squad that gave them their first MPL-PH loss ever.

The Blacklist quintet began strong in Game 1 getting the early lesad ahead in kills and gold lead thanks to Dex Stars seven kills in the first ten minutes.

Both teams engaged in exchange of kills, wit Blacklist getting their own share but Full Clip's Lancelot was always on the wrong end.

With the third sanctuary lord in the opponent's side, Nexplay continued to pressure Blacklist and prompting the lord to defend the exposed base instead to charge, with Blacklist getting the first game after a tight 22-21 affair.

H2WO's 8/1/10 KDA of his Ling was enough to get the MVP honors as Nexplay Solid grabbed the first game.

NXP looked to get things going for themselves in the second game, but Blacklist gave a fightback in the late game.

Despite Nexplay Solid's attempts to finish the game in the ninth minute, Dex Star with his Alice pick stepped up in the game and grab crucial sets for Blacklist International, wiping the entire NXP out, and forcing a third game, 20-15.

Full Clip avenged his poor Game 1 showing as his ling got the MVP nod with a 10/2/4 KDA.

NXP bounced back in the rubber match with a statement win as H2WO's 11/0/6 KDA led his team to a 21-14 win.

It was all Nexplay Solid from start to end, getting all but one towers toppled and wiping the entire Blacklist lineup in 20 minutes.

NXP climbed to third place with 11 points and 4-4 slate, while Blacklist International slid to 4-3 but maintaining a close second place in Group A.

Blacklist will look to come back against Aura PH on September 26, while Nexplay Solud will try to go 3-0 in Week 5 against ONIC PH.
