Omega PH snaps Bren's undefeated record in sweep

 by Drew Malihan

MANILA - Omega PH inks their name in Bren Esports's L column as they sweep the once-undefeated side in Week 6 of MPL-PH season 6 on Friday.

Haze and the rest of the Omega squad made a payback this time around from a 2-0 sweep in their most recent meeting last August 28.

It was a dominant Omega PH show in the first game as they picked up the pace from the get go up to the end, not letting any single Omega turret down.

Despite the game having a patch update, Omega grabbed all the objectives from the start and not giving Bren Esports a hint of a late game comeback, limiting their carry KarlTzy to just two assists and no kills in his name.

Omega grabbed the first game, 20 kills to just three, with Hadjizy's Ling getting the MVP nod with a clean 11/0/4 KDA.

Bren opted to adjust to an aggressive Omega side with durability as they picked Alice and Baxia along with Roger as their carry while Omega has their ghands on the same Game 1 heroes except for the Selena.

Omega took the early game with the same dominant form, but KarlTzy's Roger showed hints of a comeback as they trimmed the lead to two, 9-7.

Bren however managed to get only one kill in the next four minutes as Omega picked up their slack and scored one kill after another after toppling the first three Bren towers.

Hadjizy's Ling took the MVP nod with 7/0/11 KDA as Omega finally smeared Bren's record, 23-8.

With this, Omega inched closer to the top spot in Group B with 19 points and a 6-3 slate, while Bren stayed at first with 7-1 and 20 points, maintaining a slim lead for the number one seed.

Omega PH will now set theitr sights on Cignal Ultra tomorrow while Bren Esports will look for a bounce back against Nexplay Solid on Sunday.
