MANILA--Alaska drained Phoenix in the final quarter to walk away with a 105-97 come-from-behind win in their PBA showdown at the Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center on Thursday night.
Picking up from a 7-2 run to end the third quarter, the Aces razed the Fuel Masters in the first eight minutes of the final frame, outscoring them, 26-7, to take a 97-82 lead before holding them off in the end.
Vic Manuel posted 24 points on 11-of-14 shooting, seven rebounds, three assists, and one steal for Alaska, which moved up to 5-3 in the standings.
Mike Digregorio added 21 markers on 6-for-10 clip from the field and one assist.
Matt Wright fired 27 markers on 5-of-11 shooting from three-point range, nine assists, five assists, and two steals for Phoenix, which fell to 4-3.
