MANILA - Bren Esports locked themselves as the top seed in Group B of MPL-PH Season 6 as they breeze past a hapless Blu Fire team 2-0 Sunday.
KarlTzy and company didn't take their opponents easy as they drafted a balanced lineup with two tanks and two assassins along with Leomord, while Blu Fire opted for an all-out attack core of Chou, Helcurt, and Natalia.
Bren dominated the entire game in less than eleven minutes, taking most of the objectives while not letting Blu Fire attack a single turret.
KarlTzy's 73 thousand damage was enough to put him as the game's MVP, as he contributed in 17 of 19 Bren kills, outscoring the entire Blu Fire side who only has eight compared to KarlTzy's nine.
Blu Fire however stood their ground in the second game, not letting Bren to have a easy time in the second game, with Chuuu's Natalya leading the charge with five kills while not letting Pheww and KarlTzy took over.
Fuzaken and company were leading in the mid-game but with Bren getting the upper hand in late game skirmishes and S3cret falling down, Blu Fire's good start collapsed and Bren getting the win despite two kills behind 12-14.
KarlTzy's 4/2/3 performance was enough to led Bren, who are now 10-1 with 29 points, locking their top seed status in Group B with two games in hand, while Blu Fire sinks further to 0-12.
Bren Esports will try to extend their lead further when they take on rivals Cignal Ultra on Friday, while Blu Fire will end their season against two-time champions Aura.
