Castro-less TNT blows by Blackwater

MANILA--With their main leader out, TNT still stomped its class on Blackwater.

Despite missing the services of Jayson Castro, the Tropang Giga banked on a hot first quarter to hack out a 109-96 win over the Elite in their PBA meeting on Thursday night at the Angeles University Sports and Cultural Center.

TNT erupted for 34 points in the first 12 minutes of the game, setting up its dominance on Blackwater, which fell to a deficit as high as 21 points.

RR Pogoy led the Tropang Giga, who are now 5-0 in the season, with 20 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and three steals.

Ray-Ray Parks added 18 points, three rebounds, five assists, and one steal.

Don Trollano collected 23 markers, seven boards, and four dimes for the Elite, who lost back-to-back games and fell to 2-3.
