MANILA--Australian fighter Antonio Caruso proved to be too much for Filipino mixed martial arts superstar Eduard Folayang as the former won at One: Inside the Matrix on Friday night at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Caruso took control of the first two rounds before keeping Folayang at bay in Round 3 to take the unanimous decision win.

Caruso actually came close to finishing Folayang twice in the fight.

Late into Round 1, Caruso found a chance to submit Folayang via a D'Arce choke, but the latter quickly got loose and eventually survived the round.

Caruso, however, got another chance after knocking down Folayang with a right hook early into Round 2 only that the Filipino remained resilient.

Folayang got his game going in Round 3, but it turned out to be a little too late.

Caruso, who won for the first time at One Championship, moved up to 8-1 in his career.

Meanwhile, Folayang, who will turn 36 next month, fell for the fourth time in his last five fights, dropping to 22-10 overall.
