Meralco withstands Kiefer Ravena's huge night for back-to-back wins

MANILA--Meralco stood tall despite an impressive outing from Kiefer Ravena to get past slumping NLEX, 101-92, in their Friday night PBA game at the Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center.

The Bolts ended the game on a 7-2 run within the last two minutes to broke loose from the Road Warriors, who at one point earlier in the fourth quarter were just down by two.

Chris Newsome put up another all-around impression of 18 points, six rebounds, six assists, one steal, and one block for Meralco, which won for the second straight game and moved up to 3-2 in the standings.

Allein Maliksi added 17 points, six rebounds, one assist, and one steal.

Ravena's 30-point explosion banked on 10-of-15 shooting went down the drain as NLEX fell to 1-4.
