MANILA--In an interesting turn of events, Monico Puentevella is joining Clint Aranas' camp.

Puentevella, who ran under incumbent Philippine Olympic Committee president Bambol Tolentino's ticket during last year's special elections but lost, was revealed on Saturday to be part of Aranas' full slate for the upcoming POC regular election on Nov. 27.

The president of the Samahang Weightlifting ng Pilipinas, who barely missed out on the board member race after finishing third to Aranas and Cynthia Carreon-Norton, will challenge Philippine Amateur Baseball Association chief Chito Loyzaga for auditor.

Meanwhile, Wushu Federation of the Philippines secretary general Julian Camacho will go up against Norton for the treasurer spot as part of Aranas' ticket.

Camacho, who is actually the incumbent POC treasurer, is seeking a fresh term for the said post.

On the other hand, secretaries general Robert Bachmann (squash), Charlie Ho (netball), and Robert Mananquil (billiards) complete Aranas' group as board members.

Aranas, who will face Bambol Tolentino for POC's top spot, earlier named Philip Juico as his first vice president, Ada Milby as second vice president, and Steve Hontiveros as chairman.

Aranas also included Pearl Managuelod to his ticket despite being officially part of Tolentino's own slate.
