NorthPort pulls away late to edge Terrafirma

MANILA--NorthPort pulled off a huge breakaway within the last 3:04 of the game to turn back Terrafirma, 107-96, in their PBA Saturday night contest at the Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center.

The Batang Pier secured the win by going on a 9-0 run that gave them their largest lead at 14, 104-90, with 1:40 to play before settling for the 11-point final margin.

Chris Standhardinger made 23 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists to lead NorthPort, which finally won after five tries.

Kelly Nabong added 18 markers, eight boards, and one dime off the bench.

CJ Perez posted a game-high 25 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals for Terrafirma, which sank to the bottom of the standings at 0-4.
