NXP Solid subdues Aura PH in regular season rematch

by Drew Malihan

MANILA - Nexplay Solid pull an upset of all sorts as they topple two-time titleholders Aura PH 2-0 in Week 7 of MPL-PH Season 6 on Saturday.

H2WO and the rest of Nexplay Solid solidified their place in MPL-PH within two games, which they both dominated.

NXP started strong in the first game, eventually shutting down Jaypee in the process as they steal all Aura buffs for their core heroes.

Aura PH answered with several kills but to no avail as they weren't able to take down a single NXP turret, while the boys in blue took down all nine.

It was H2WO's Roger who shone as he registered 11/0/7 to take the first game for NXP 19-7.

Nexplay Solid continued their dominant form in the second game, while shutting down Greed and outplaying them in getting objectives and team fights.

Aura got the upper hand in the mid game as they secured the first sanctuary lord to attack the bottom lane but no turrets were took down.

With the second lord up in the 14th minute, Aura looks to steal another one but Greed fell down at the hands of Chester and YAWI and it was all NXP from that moment as the lord charges in the mid-lane and helping NXP secure the win.

H2WO again dominated the scoresheet with his 11/1/4 KDA with NXP dealing a 19-8 beating to Aura PH.

NXP now stands at 6-6 with 16 points, while Aura stayed at 21 points but now at 9-2, only a point clear ahead of Blacklist International.

Aura will try to look for answers against Blu Fire on Saturday while Nexplay Solid will make one more regular season series against Cignal Ultra on Sunday before the playoffs.
