MANILA--As a precautionary measure following the recent COVID-19 developments inside the PBA bubble, the league postponed the scheduled Monday game between NorthPort and TNT.
The league said in a statement "that it will be rescheduled to a later date."
This is the second game that was moved to later in the season following suspected cases inside the PBA bubble in Angeles.
The Tropang Giga have been isolated after a Blackwater Elite was initially tested positive in the reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction test on Thursday prior to their scheduled game then.
Blackwater's recent RT-PCR test came amidst a referee getting suspected for COVID-19 after his result came out on Tuesday just before he went to work to officiate the team's game against Alaska.
Both the referee and the player eventually got a negative result in their latest RT-PCR tests, but they have to remain in quarantine for the week.
The NorthPort-TNT showdown is supposed to be the nightcap of Monday's twinbill at the Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center.
Instead, the supposed curtain-raiser between Phoenix and NLEX will be the one that will happen at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
The clash is a highly anticipated one as it will be the first game Calvin Abueva will be back in action after a 15-month suspension.
