MANILA--The PFL will open its fourth season with a doubleheader instead of the originally planned three-match card.

As announced on Monday, the Azkals Development Team will still be in action in the season opener, but this time it will face defending champion United City at 4:30 p.m.

This in effect means the former Ceres Negros club will begin its title defense right at the start of the season.

Another interesting storyline in the game is Anthony Pinthus playing against the team he is supposed to be with.

While he is officially part of the ADT, he moved to United City on a season-long loan.

In the nightcap at 8 p.m., Kaya Iloilo will take on newcomer Maharlika Manila.

The other two clubs, Mendiola and Stallion Laguna, will open their season in Matchday 2 on Halloween Saturday.

Stallion Laguna will debut against Maharlika Manila in a morning kickoff at 9 a.m.

Meanwhile, Mendiola's season will begin against United City at 4:30 p.m.

The original opening day triple-header, the ADT-Mendiola, Stallion Laguna-Kaya Iloilo, and Maharlika Manila-United City battles, has been moved to Matchday 3 on Nov. 3.

Mendiola and Stallion will only face off in the final game of the season on Nov. 12.

All matches will happen at the PFF National Training Centre in Carmona as part of the PFL's bubble.
