MANILA--Blackwater erupted anew in the third quarter to pummel NLEX, 98-88, in their PBA meeting at the Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center on Saturday night.
The Elite broke a 46-all halftime deadlock with a 35-point showcase in the third period to pull away for good.
KG Canaleta and Don Trollano each tallied 18 points for Blackwater, which moved up to 2-1 in the standings.
Canaleta actually led the bench players' domination of the match as the team's second stringers outscored those of NLEX, 64-29.
Mike Ayonayon had his breakout game of 20 markers, six rebounds, and one steal go for naught as NLEX crashed to the bottom of the standings at 0-3.
