MANILA—After nearly eight months, One Championship returns to the place it calls home.

The mixed martial arts promotion announced on Monday that its upcoming fight card, One: Reign of Dynasties, will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The Oct. 9 event will mark the first time One will hold a card in Singapore since One: King of the Jungle on Feb. 28.

One: King of the Jungle was the last fight card One held before the promotion postponed much of its supposed schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We are honored that One Championship has been entrusted by the Singapore government to pilot the return of international sports events for broadcast from Singapore. We are thrilled to be able to bring our local and international heroes back to the Singapore Indoor Stadium to inspire martial arts fans in Singapore and around the world with their inspiring combination of heart, hard work, and talent," said Hua Fung Teh, One's group president.

Like One: King of the Jungle and the six other fight cards that happened in Bangkok recently, One: Reign of Dynasties will be held behind closed doors.

Filipino-Australian Reece McLaren will see action in One: Reign of Dynasties, battling undefeated Aleksi Toivonen in the co-main event pitting fighters coming back to the "Circle" after nearly a year off.

Sam-A Gaiyanghadao defends his One muay thai strawweight title against Josh Tonna in the headliner.
