Zamboanga City romps Nueva Ecija to take Chooks 3x3 Leg 2 title

MANILA--Zamboanga City once again showed its might in the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 President's Cup, tripping Nueva Ecija in the final, 21-11, to rule the second leg of the conference at the Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba.

Zamboanga City quickly stepped on the gas in the first four minutes of the match, opening a 10-4 lead and preserving it until the end, although emotions entered the frame as Alvin Pasaol, Gab Banal, and Tonino Gonzaga got into an altercation before cooler heads prevailed.

Pasaol finished with eight points for Zamboanga City, which won PHP100,000 for the second straight time.

Santi Santillan added seven markers, while Joshua Munzon and Troy Rike contributed four and two points, respectively.

Banal finished with seven points for Nueva Ecija, which will also receive PHP100,000 for being Zamboanga City's opponent in the final.
