MANILA--Playbook Laus Esports survived an upset threat from Indonesia and hacked a 65-50 win to end its Day 1 stint in the Southeast Asia-Oceania Conference of the FIBA Esports Open 2 on Saturday night.

Needing a win to stay alive in contention for a spot in Sunday night's finals, Indonesia put up a better defensive showing than its previous meeting and drew to within just three, 50-53, with less than two minutes left.

However, Aljon Cruzin and Clark Banzon alternated on burying clutch triples for the Philippine side to pull away for good.

Coupled by its 59-80 loss to Australia later in the night, Indonesia was knocked out of Southeast Asia-Oceania Conference title contention, effectively setting up the Philippines-Australia finals with one round robin cycle to spare.
