Genflix Aerowolf pulls MPLI upset vs. Omega

Clay comes up big for Genflix against Omega. ONE Esports

MANILA - Indonesian MPL side Genflix Aerowolf’s rotation proves to be too much to handle for Omega Esports as they sweep the Filipino contingent in the ONE Esports MPL Invitational on Friday.

Omega was riddled by technical problems from the start, with the effect evident in the match as this eases Genflix to lay out their all out attack mainly from Fredo’s Jawhead and the Brody-Eudora tandem.

Fredo tallied eight assists but it was Clay’s Eudora performance that propel the Indonesians with four kills and six assists, putting them ahead in Game 1, 12 kills to just three.

Omega made a roster shuffle middle of the match, putting Kenji in place of YellyHaze as they continue to experience technical problems in the early game.

The shuffle was to no avail as Genflix continue to answer every Omega offensive with the Eudora-Brody combo still in effect.

It was the other half of the one-two punch who led Genflix Aerowolf as Bottle’s Brody made eight kills and 12 assists in a 22-13 Game 2 in favor of the Indonesians.

With the win, one Indonesian team will be assured of a semifinal slot as Genflix will battle the winner between EVOS Legends and Alter Ego for a chance to battle MPL-ID champions RRQ Hoshi.
