MANILA--Gilas Pilipinas Men completed a 2-0 sweep of the second window of the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers after hacking a 93-69 blowout win against Thailand on Monday night at the Khalifa Sports City in Manama, Bahrain.

Unlike their first meeting on Friday night, Gilas Men torched Thailand early on, opening the game on an 11-0 run.

Gilas Men never looked back from there.

Javi Gomez De Liano came close to emulating Dwight Ramos' perfect game in Gilas Men's first game against Thailand, going 7-for-8 from the field including a perfect 4-of-4 from beyond the arc for 19 points with two rebounds for Gilas Men, which moved up to 3-0 in the Group A standings.

His younger brother Juan added 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting including 4-of-5 from on threes with four rebounds and four assists.

Matt Nieto also flirted with a perfect game, making all of his six shots inside the two-point area only that he missed both his two three-point tries.

He finished with 12 points, one rebound, and two assists.

Chanatip Jakrawan had a dominant game inside for Thailand, finished with 34 points on 12-of-19 shooting with 12 rebounds, one block, and two steals.

However, the effort fell short as Thailand lost all its three Window 2 games and fell to 0-4.

Thailand is now up to a gargantuan task of sweeping the third window of the qualifiers on February, in which it will play South Korea and Indonesia again, in hopes of staying alive in the bid to make next year's FIBA Asia Cup.
