MANILA--Manila Chooks is now awaiting for the result of its players' latest reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction tests done in Doha for them to be cleared for the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Doha Masters.

The team of Joshua Munzon, Alvin Pasaol, Santi Santillan, and Troy Rike arrived at the Hamad International Airport in the Qatari capital at 9:23 a.m. Monday (Philippine Time).

Right after their swab samples were taken, they downloaded the Qatar government's contact tracing app and immediately departed for the Marriott Marquis Center Doha Hotel, where they are checked in now.

While they are currently in hotel quarantine and in a waiting game for their RT-PCR tests to come out, the players are doing some scouting reports about their opponents according to Pasaol, the assigned team captain.

"Review muna kami dito sa rooms namin. At least nakakapag-ready kami kahit hindi pa kami makapag-ensayo rito," the burly swingman said.

Joining Manila Chooks in the Doha Masters are familiar foes Liman, Riga, New York Harlem, Princeton, and Lausanne.

Completing the cast are UB, Jeddah, Riyadh, Kamakura, Yoyogi, Bielefield, Utana, and host squad Lusail.

The Doha Masters, with US$40,000 at stake, will take place this weekend at the Al Gharafa Sports Complex.
