MANILA--No less than eight-division world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao will be the high-profile guest as the Games and Amusements Board once again organizes the Professional Sports Summit.
The concurrent Senator is listed among the guests of honor in the second staging of the event on Dec. 5.
Unlike the inaugural edition last year, in which more than 600 professional sports stakeholders from across the globe converge at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay, this year's Professional Sports Summit will be done online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The theme for this year's summit is aptly called "Innovative Leadership in Crisis".
Senators Bong Go and Sonny Angara, the special guests last year, will once again grace the event as well as Senator Joel Villanueva.
The aforementioned senators will deliver special messages during the afternoon session.
Also joining are boxing legend Gerry Penalosa, pool masters Efren "Bata" Reyes and Django Bustamante, chess grandmaster Eugene Torre, and PBA legend Sean Chambers.
Chambers, now an educator in the United States, will give a talk in the morning session entitled "Falling Back in Education".
