MPL Invitational: Alter Ego breezes past EVOS Legends

ONE Esports

MANILA - Thirty-five minutes is all that Alter Ego needs to do their business.

It only took two games for the MPL-Indonesia Season 6 finalists to get out of the first round as they dismantle an all-star EVOS Legends side in an all-Indonesian marquee matchup at ONE Esports MPL Invitational on Saturday.

Despite Wannn's solid 4/3/10 performance in Game 1, it was to no avail as Udil and Celiboy made problems to Antimage and company.

It was Udil's 6/2/6 performance with his Lunox that put Alter Ego one step forward to the second round, 20 to 16.

Antimage put hip his best efforts with his Benedetta pick to keep EVOS hopes alive but they were countered by yet another mage in Ahmad's Harith who put up a solid 7/1/8 statline in just 13 minutes.

Alter Ego's cores of Ahmad and Celiboy along with Udil as support made quick business of their foes, with LJ being negated with a poor 0/8/8 performance from his Khaleed thus making him ineffective in the map in attacks and receiving the most damage.

With a match-sealing 23-16 win in the second game, Alter Ego set their sights on two more Indonesian teams, as they will take another MPL-ID contingent Genflix Aerowolf for a chance to set a rematch between them and two-time Indonesian champs RRQ Hoshi.
