Pringle sizzles as Ginebra rips Alaska to snap slide

MANILA--Stanley Pringle came alive down the stretch to lift Ginebra to an 87-81 win over Alaska in their PBA game at the Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center on Tuesday night.

With the Barangay down, 75-77, with 3:32 remaining, Pringle went to work, scoring seven straight points to put them ahead for good, 82-77, with 1:23 to play.

The Aces still tried to come back, trimming the lead down to three, 84-81, with 37 seconds remaining, but clutch free throws from Pringle and LA Tenorio put the game away.

Pringle finished with 31 points, six rebounds, and one steal for Ginebra, which snapped a two-game skid and moved up to 5-2.

Japeth Aguilar and Aljon Mariano each added 14 points.

Scottie Thompson amassed a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds with six assists and two steals.

Vic Manuel put up 17 markers, six boards, four dimes, one block, and one steal for Alaska, which fell to 5-4.
