Ronin Esports books QF slot with W over EVOS SG

MANILA - Ronin Esports sets themselves a rematch with MPL-Myanmar champions Burmese Ghouls as they dispatch MPL-MY/SG runners-up EVOS SG in three games in Day 3 of ONE Esports MPL Invitational.

JustiN became a huge problem for the Singaporeans from Games 1 to 3 as nobody from EVOS SG able to counter his Eudora picks.

However, it was JustiN's teammate Peka who came up big in the first game as his Yi Sun-shin take enough items and gold to deal much damage to the Singaporeans and close the game 21-11 with Peka contributing to two-thirds of all Ronin kills.

EVOS SG responded well in Game 2, not only limiting JustiN's influence in the game, but also negating all Ronin Esports men but Silent, thanks to the tag team between Potato's Yi Sun-shin and Pokemon's Benedetta.

Pokemon and Potato combined for nine kills and 12 assists in a 17-6 EVOS domination but the latter was named MVP as he took more gold and objectives by himself.

Ronin made sure in the rubber match that it will be the MY/SG region who will lose one more representative as they came back with a dominant third game.

While JustiN became a focal point for EVOS SG to be punished first, it was the pseudo-tank Naomi who dealt the most damage to them in the third game, as his Jawhead contributed to 15 of 19 total Ronin kills while only going down once.

For the MY/SG region, the loss means that there will be only one representative left with Todak Esports assured of a quarterfinal spot as champions of their regional MPL.
