MANILA—Roosevelt Adams left the PBA bubble with the best shot at winning the Rookie of the Year award.

The Terrafirma forward leads the statistical points race among the freshmen after the elimination round at the release of the partial results on Sunday.

Adams garnered 20.3 average SP's 11 games in.

However, with the Dyip already eliminated from playoff contention, Meralco's Aaron Black still has a shot at taking the top rookie prize from Adams.

Black, whose Bolts squad is in the quarterfinals and actually extended its series against the San Miguel Beermen to sudden death later Sunday, has 18.7 average SP's after the eliminations.

But if he sustains a great performance until the semifinals assuming Meralco dethrones SMB, Black, the son of Coach Norman, can move up to number one.
