MANILA--Meralco's resident PBA Governors' Cup import Allen Durham is finally a winner again in the B.League after a long slide as Albirex Niigata bounced back against the San-En NeoPhoenix with an 86-79 win on Sunday at the Toyohashi City General Gymnasium.
Just like their first meeting, San-En took flight in the first quarter, taking a 25-17 lead, only for Niigata to rally back through a 27-14 third quarter.
This time, however, Niigata completed the comeback by going on a 14-4 run midway through the fourth quarter to break a 71-all tie and take the lead for good.
Jason Washburn and Rosco Allen were once again the prime scorers for Niigata, which snapped a six-game losing streak and moved up to 7-16, tallying 22 and 21 points, respectively.
Washburn went 10-for-17 from the field, while Allen made 7-of-9.
Allen actually tallied a double-double as he too grabbed 10 rebounds.
Durham finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds.
Stevan Jelovac sizzled for 19 points in the first half for San-En, but he was held to just five markers the rest of the way as his squad saw its three-game winning streak come to an end.
Thirdy Ravena posted 10 points, four rebounds, and one assist off the bench.
