MANILA--Kai Sotto showed a better performance from his Ignite scrimmage debut, but the NBA prospects-loaded squad still struggled to get a win against the veterans of the NBA G-League, losing anew, 99-125, on Friday (Philippine Time) in Walnut Creek, California.

The seven-foot-two Filipino center finished with six points, making all of his four free throws, six rebounds, and one block, but behind a balanced scoring led by Ryan Taylor, the G-League vets once again showed that they are a notch higher.

Despite a solid first half that even saw the team leading by as much as seven points, Ignite slowed down in the second half, and the G-League veterans pulled away from there.

Taylor, a six-foot-six guard playing for the Santa Cruz Warriors, finished with 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting including 5-of-8 from beyond the arc to lead seven G-League veterans in double figures alongside seven rebounds.

Aaron Epps, a 6-foot-10 big man for the Northern Arizona Suns, added 17 points, three rebounds, and one block.

Jonathan Kuminga led Ignite with 21 points, two rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Sotto's fellow NBTC alumnus Jalen Green added 20 points, six rebounds, one assist, two steals, and one block.
