MANILA--CJ Perez is set to head to San Miguel as the aforementioned team and Terrafirma agreed in terms of a blockbuster trade.

First reported by Nelson Beltran of The Philippine Star and was later confirmed by Dyip governor Bobby Rosales on Friday, the first overall pick of the 2018 PBA Draft will join the already loaded Beermen lineup if the league's trade committee approved the deal.

Perez averaged 24.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.0 steals, and 0.6 block a game last season for the Dyip, which somehow struggled at 1-10.

He is currently in Calamba training with Gilas Pilipinas Men for the third window of the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers in Doha next month.

The Dyip have been offered to acquire the services of Matt Rosser, Russel Escoto, and Gelo Alolino plus the Beermen's first round pick for Perez.

If approved, Terrafirma will now have two first round picks in this year's regular draft, the first and the eighth overall picks.

Beltran further reported that the Dyip are eyeing Joshua Munzon as the first pick of the regular draft, while they may use the pick they would get from the Beermen for a solid big man.

As of posting, the deal is being sent to the PBA office for the trade committee's evaluation.
