MANILA--Joshua Munzon assured that the entire Manila Chooks TM squad that ruled the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 President's Cup last year and played in the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Doha Masters will be in the PBA Draft as he formally applied for the March 14 event.

The PBA confirmed on Saturday that the six-foot-four swingman submitted his application the day before, joining Manila Chooks teammates Alvin Pasaol, Santi Santillan, and Troy Rike.

Munzon's professional career started in the ABL as the ASEAN heritage import for Saigon and Kuala Lumpur.

But it was during his stellar stints in the PBA D-League, Chooks 3x3, and even in international 3x3 events where he showed what he can really do.

The first pick of the 2019 D-League draft erupted for 35.0 points with 10.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game for AMA during the Aspirants Cup of the said year.

Munzon also etched a mark as the first player in D-League history to score 40 points in a game more than once.

He would also become known as a clutch player and a closer first with Pasig Chooks in the 2019 3x3 season and last year with Manila Chooks.

His performance in the 3x3 ranks earned him a spot in the Gilas squad for the FIBA 3x3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament scheduled this May in Graz, Austria.

Munzon is projected as a first round choice in this stacked draft class.

As of Saturday, 42 players have applied for the PBA Draft.
