MANILA--The handler of Vic Manuel bared that his client reiterated his demand to move out of Alaska to Head Coach Jeffrey Cariaso.

"Kinausap ko si Coach na ayaw ko nang maglaro sa Alaska," renowned player agent Danny Espiritu relayed what Manuel told Cariaso during their meeting on Friday night through an interview on The Chasedown on Saturday.

Espiritu admitted, though, that he thought Manuel and Cariaso already patched things up during their meeting.

Espiritu even told Manuel in a phone call, "Congratulations! Nagkasundo na kayo. Kailan tayo pipirma?"

Instead, Manuel told him that he requested a transfer to Cariaso.

"Tulungan mo ako, Coach, na mag-secure kayo ng trade," Manuel further said as quoted by Espiritu.

Manuel's remark as told by Espiritu is the latest development in what now seems like a strained relationship between him and the Aces.

In a Spin.PH report on Friday, the six-foot-four forward, whose contract expired by the end of 2020, first claimed that Alaska did not contact him directly about a new deal, leading to his trade demand.

Later in the day, Cariaso met with Manuel in hopes of persuading him to defer his plan, which apparently did not come into fruition.

Cariaso, however, denied on Saturday that the Aces never reached out to Manuel, even saying that the management talked to Espiritu twice after Christmas about re-signing him.
