MANILA--NLEX looks poised to finish where it left off last season as it re-signed most of its players for next season.

On Thursday night, the Road Warriors inked Will McAloney, Kenneth Ighalo, Bong Galanza, and Kris Porter to fresh one-year deals, assuring that they will remain with the team for Season 46 slated to start on April 9.

NLEX is also set to re-sign Paul Varilla, who missed the contract signing on Thursday due to him undergoing quarantine after flying back from the United States.

Veterans JR Quinahan, Raul Soyud, and Mike Miranda have already re-signed with the team as well to backstop the explosive trio of Kiefer Ravena, Kevin Alas, and Jericho Cruz.

"We'd like to start early, we'd like to be prepared physically and mentally," Coach Yeng Guiao said on Friday via the PBA website.

The Road Warriors, despite a late run during the regular season that saw them winning four of their last five games, fell short of a quarterfinal berth, finishing ninth at 5-6.

But Guiao said they had positives from last year that they will carry through the next season.

"We'll take those lessons with us and be able to come out as a better team," he further said.
