MANILA--Rolando Dy may have just secured his place as Brave Combat Federation's top Filipino fighter.

Fresh from winning the promotion's Fighter of the Year award, Dy re-signed with Brave, ensuring that he has a home for the long run.

“This organization took care of me when I was at the lowest point of my career as a professional fighter,” he said. “Without hesitations, they gave me the opportunity to write a new chapter in my story as a combat sports competitor. Here I am today, one of the best fighters on their roster and in the world.”

The new three-year contract includes five guaranteed fights, one of which could possibly be a potential world title fight.

Dy jumped to the lightweight division last year and scored two stunning victories on short notices, which netted him the Fighter of the Year plum.

After the wins, Dy is now primed to face Amin Ayoub for the 155-pound belt.

But Dy is willing to wait.

“I want that title shot in 2021. But if Brave CF thinks I have to prove it again, then so be it. I really don’t mind. Line them up and I will keep knocking them down,” he stated.
